The quorum at the Board meetings and the General meetingsof the co-owners

In the majority of cases, the Board of Directors of a syndicate of co-ownership will be composed of individuals who are co-owners in title of at least one fraction in the co-ownership's building. These people are elected annually by the co-owners at the annual general meeting.

October: Best Month Since the Start of the Year for Existing-Home Sales

Canadian home sales hold steady in September

National sales activity rose 2.7 per cent in September when compared to August, and follows three months of stable activity. September’s increase reflects strengthened activity in a number of major markets, led by Toronto. The monthly increase pushed national sales to its highest level since recently tightened mortgage regulations dampened sales earlier this year.

Drinking water: billing is on our doorsteps

Quebec municipalities will have to put the shoulder at the wheel to answer the objectives of the Quebec Strategy for Drinking Water Conservation which aims at a reduction of 20% of the overall consumption.

In March 2011, the Government of Quebec revealed the Quebec Strategy for Drinking Water Conservation which could in the long term allow savings of 2 billion $ over 20 years.

Condominiums Were Big Winners Again in August 2011 at Montreal

The Montréal Metropolitan Area increased by 5 per cent in August 2011 compared to August 2010, according to the Greater Montréal Real Estate Board (GMREB). This third consecutive increase in sales in the Montréal area was primarily due to the vitality of condominium sales, which increased by 9 per cent in August.
